Spirits of Jennie Wade

The Spirits of Jennie Wade Tour invites visitors to explore one of Gettysburg’s most haunted historic homes. Since 2003, the tour has guided guests through the Jennie Wade House, sharing stories of ghostly soldiers, lingering spirits, and unexplained paranormal activity.

Guests enter through the same doorway where a bullet passed on July 3, 1863, killing Jennie Wade, the only civilian casualty of the Battle of Gettysburg. Many believe her spirit, along with others, still remains within the home.

The house has been featured on paranormal television programs and online platforms, drawing investigators and curious visitors from around the world. Today, it is widely regarded as one of the most paranormally active locations in Gettysburg.

The 90-minute tour includes climbing stairs and light walking in the surrounding area and may not be suitable for children under 10. Tours depart from 778 Baltimore Street, and cancellations or changes may be made up to 24 hours in advance. Only service animals are permitted, and while accommodations are made when possible, the historic property is not ADA compliant.
