BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT – ROUTE 116 (FAIRFIELD ROAD)
According to PennDot, a bridge on route 116 west of Gettysburg will be closed until further notice. The bridge spans a tributary to Marsh Creek between Knoxlyn and Knoxlyn-Orrtanna roads in Highland Township.
A detour is in place using Knoxlyn Orrtanna Road and Carrolls Tract Road.
Work is expected to be completed by June 24, 2025.
LANE RESTRICTIONS – NORTHBOUND ROUTE 15 IN ADAMS COUNTY
A PennDot news release announced that on Monday, July 15, left lane restrictions will be implemented on northbound Route 15 from the Maryland line to the Taneytown Road exit, and from the Hanover Road exit to the Schrivers Corner Road exit.
Work being performed include shoulder and guiderail upgrades, concrete road patching, grinding of the pavement surface, and repairs to adjacent structures.
In mid-September, the same project will be conducted on the right lanes of these stretches, and the lane restrictions will switch to the right lanes.
All work is expected to be finished by February of 2025.
