Confederates Take the Shriver House

The Battle of Gettysburg was a horrifying experience for the residents of this historic town, including the Shrivers. Once a year, visitors can experience the battle through the eyes of this ordinary family that lived through extraordinary circumstances. Listen to Hettie Shriver and her neighbors discuss the possible invasion. Stand just feet away from Confederate sharpshooters as they fire muskets from the window in the sweltering attic. 52nd Annual Civil War Relic Show

This Annual Civil War Relic show is a great way to view and purchase authentic Civil War artifacts. Browse the tables and speak with the vendors who are all well versed in history and artifact identification. Every item has someone willing to give you its history lesson and answer all your questions.

 

This is one of the oldest running artifact shows in the country. The entry is only $10 and the items being displayed are of museum quality.

89th Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival
