Destination Gettysburg launches holiday shopping trail

11/17/25

Destination Gettysburg is introducing a festive new trail featuring dozens of local businesses to encourage residents and visitors alike to shop locally this holiday season.

The Gettysburg Merry Markets trail includes unique shops, boutiques and markets across Adams County.  Whether you are checking off your holiday shopping list or soaking in the glow of twinkling lights, the Merry Markets trail is your guide to a joyful holiday season.

Though the trail launches Nov. 22, participants can sign up now for the free Merry Markets digital passport at GettysburgMerryMarkets.com to start planning their shopping excursions. Check in at each location on the passport, enter the code specific to that business, and earn points to pick free prizes such as ornaments, pajama pants and mugs. Shoppers will also unlock exclusive discounts at participating businesses. This limited time trail will be available Nov. 22 through Jan. 4.

“Gettysburg Merry Markets offers a fun and festive way to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones,” Destination Gettysburg President and CEO Karl Pietrzak said. “We created this new trail as a way to highlight the incredible businesses across Adams County and encourage folks to shop locally.”
