Shriver House Museum – The Civilian Experience

The battle not only surrounded Gettysburg but also took place in the streets throughout town. The Shrivers' home was occupied by Confederate sharpshooters who set up a snipers' nest in the attic of their home where eyewitness testimony and bloodstains confirm soldiers were shot and killed.
