The 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg Anniversary Hikes, July 1-3

During the 160th anniversary, special Anniversary Hikes are offered in the morning and afternoon. Visitors are able to choose from three unique options that bring to life various aspects of the Battle of Gettysburg. These special 60-90-minute programs involve significant walking, occasionally over rough terrain. Water, headgear, sun protection, insect repellent and sturdy walking shoes are highly recommended. All four tires must remain on pavement when parking alongside avenues.

Locations vary by day and time. Please check website for specific details.  Be aware that none of these events are held at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center

• In the event of thunderstorm or tornado warnings, or a heat index in excess of 105 degrees, all programs will be canceled.
• In the event of a heat index in excess of 91 degrees, programs will be shortened and modified.
