Day 2

As you walk around downtown, you’ll notice that Gettysburg has lots of adorable shops and boutiques. After your tour, go back and visit the ones that caught your eye.

Wrap up your evening with a visit to Soldiers’ National Cemetery. Visit the grave sites of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of Gettysburg and listen to the 100 Nights of Taps tribute one last time before summer ends.

Day 3

If you haven’t been able to tell, Gettysburg is a foodie town. Don’t miss an opportunity to grab a hearty brunch before heading out on the battlefield for a tour. Most tours include an option to have a Licensed Battlefield Guide lead the way so you can soak in the history of the hallowed grounds, or you can privately enjoy the experience with only the members of your family or group. There are many ways to tour the battlefield, including by foot, bus, horse, Segway, carriage or bicycle. Use this as an opportunity to try something new!

In the evening, book a ghost tour and discover the spirits that still linger in this historic town. If you’re feeling brave, you can even partake in a paranormal investigation and use the newest technology to communicate with the spirits you encounter.

Day 4

Before heading home, you must head out to the countryside and experience Adams County’s agriculture. Check out one of our local farm markets and pick out some tasty finds for a picnic at the park. Or pick-your-own produce straight from the farm.
